Tokyo Game Show 2025: Must Exhibit. Booth Design and Set up. Official Deadline is May, 2025!
With the Japanese yen at a historically weak level, now is the perfect time for international game companies to expand their reach in Japan. Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025 presents an incredible opportunity to showcase your products, network with industry professionals, and engage with the ever-growing gaming market in Japan. If you are considering exhibiting at TGS 2025, here is everything you need to know about costs, booth setup, and how we can support you.
Why Exhibit at Tokyo Game Show 2025?
TGS is one of the largest gaming events in the world, attracting over 250,000 attendees annually, including gamers, developers, publishers, media representatives, and investors. Whether you are launching a new game, promoting gaming hardware, or looking to expand your business in Japan, this event is the ultimate platform.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Tokyo Game Show has continued to grow, and the 2024 edition surpassed all previous records in terms of scale.
The number of exhibitors reached 985, significantly surpassing last year's 787 (a 125% increase year-over-year). The number of physical booths at the venue also hit an all-time high of 3,252. The event welcomed 274,739 attendees to Makuhari Messe, where nearly 1,000 exhibitors showcased their content, making it a four-day celebration of gaming.
At Tokyo Game Show in the previous year we felt about 30 % of visitors are from overseas.
So, what is driving the continued expansion of Tokyo Game Show?
One major factor is the increasing presence of "international" participants, both among exhibitors and visitors. Of the 985 exhibitors in 2024, 535 came from overseas. Their primary goal was branding and business discussions in the Japanese market, highlighting the importance of Japan as a key destination for the gaming industry.
As for international visitors, attendees from 78 countries and regions participated this year. Despite the numerous gaming events held worldwide, Tokyo Game Show has established itself as a "must-attend event," attracting visitors who specifically choose to come to Japan for this occasion.
