The famous voice actor couple ended its marriage.
The couple married in 2012. The tweet by Koichi Yamadera about the marriage was the most retweeted tweet in 2012.
This is not the first marriage for Koichi who married another voice actor Mika Kanai in 1993 and divorced in 2006.
Koichi Yamadera
Koichi Yamadera is born in Shiogama city, Miyagi in 1961 (17 June).
He was a manager of basketball team in Jr. high and high schools. He was part of Rakugo club in university time. He first thought he could be a sales guy but gave up. Then he tried to be a stage actor but gave up after he read some book about becoming an actor. In the end he joined an acting school to be a voice actor.
He got his first job as Shinji Nakagawa in Megazone 23 video animation. Then he was in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack in 1988.
You may know him for the voice of Ryoji Kaji of Neon Genesis EVANGELION.
He is the voice of Japanese Donald Fauntleroy Duck.
Rie Tanaka
Nicknamed RieRie was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1979 (3rd of Jan).
She enjoyed reading loud some books to others in her primary school. She joined a manga club in high school. After graduation, she moved to Tokyo and enrolled in Yoyogi Animation Gakuin ( school ). In this school time, she won the best place in a vocalist audition. She first got a debut as a singer rather than voice actor.
She is known for the voice of Lacus Clyne in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, Chi in Chobits, Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke in Strike Witches and Suigintou in the anime adaptation of Rozen Maiden.
Her favourite word is "do not feel sad, do not run away and do not give up (めげない逃げない諦めない)".
