22nd of July POKÉMON GO finally released in Japan.   After long speculation and delays the game is finally out in Japan.

As of 22nd of July, only Android app is downloadable but you can also get the iOS app from a overseas app store if you have an foreign account. We played and tested POKÉMON GO on iOS in Japan this morning. It worked smoothly.

Not many kids have no smartphone ( and should not have them anyway ). But if your kid really wants, you can play with them with your smartphone and go out with them to the field.  ( You can try and get a cheap second hand smartphone and use your smartphone tethering to give the access to it. We are not sure how GPS works with no mobile contract)

National center of Incident readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity ( NISC ), a government body of Japan issued the warning on the game with the instruction how to play it safe. 

Here are some tips to collect POKÉMON GO monsters efficiently

1. Walk fast, and try to walk straight to get "distance" if you want to hutch the egg (if you stay in one area, the egg does not hutch)

2. You find many Pokemons on bus and train

3. Ask friends where they find Pokemon, check some community message board

4. Have two smartphones to always check the map

5. To level up fast, collect many Pidgey, Rattata etc.
