As its 30th anniversary Super Dimension Fortress Macross exhibition takes place at Hirakata park, Hirakata city, Osaka, Japan on 22nd of December, 2012.

 

It has a real size VF-25F Valkyrie, the same one shown in Tokyo before, Macross Cafe where you can enjoy the foods and drinks based on the characters e.g. Ranka Lee and Ai kun curry rice.

One of the biggest events is the real size SDF-1 Macross (around 1200 meters) visible with Augmented reality apps.

To get this exciting application, you need:

 

a. to go to iTunes Store or Google Play for iOS and Google Play for Android version and download "超時空ARマクロス～OSAKA.ver～ (Super Dimension Fortress AR Macross ～OSAKA.ver～ , you need to type in Japanese)" or

 

b. download by scanning the posters of this exhbition AND

 

c. (after successfully doing a. or b.) go to the Hirakata Park (around 300m diameter from the centre of the park).

 

You can also get a new function to this AR to let this huge battle ship to shoot by taking photos of the AR picture and posting on Twitter or facebook.
